Description

Sweet Love is a very-short platformer with an asymmetrical gameplay that equally runs on Windows Mac and Linux. It will be released as the first of a serie of short games called Nuances, a serie which focus on ideas represented in feminist, or lgbtq+ thematics and fights for inclusiveness. This first game, from the indie game Studio Otterways stages rough situations such as toxic couple relationship, mental harassment and marital rape. It's coming out on Steam on July 30th and all the profits will directly go to the organisation « Woman in game ».

History

History

Sweet love has originally been developped in a week, in november 2019 by Aline Bardou, founder of Otterways studio. It's first purpose was to share a personal experience in order to raise awareness and open a room for discussion about a particular type of violence in conjugal relationships. Initially published as a free game on Itch.io, the game received great reviews from the community who appreciated the relevance of its message and deep emotions that its simplicity conveys.

Studio

Otterways is a developpement studio born in 2018. It's etablished in Rennes (France) and is specialised in the use of open and free softwares and on thematics such as feminism, ecological, ligbtq+ and inclusivess fights. It came to existence on the initiative of Aline Bardou, leader of Ethical Games. As of today, the studio includes 5 people, 4 of whom are women.
